Temporary Exit Sign

While most exit signs are considered permanent exit signs, GreenTorch offers flexible options for exit signs needed in temporary locations. Permanent exit signs, once installed, are not to be removed. Temporary exit signs are often necessary at special events where tents or other movable structures are assembled to create a sheltered environment. In such instances, exit signs are only needed for a short-term use.

Party rental companies will purchase non-electrical exit signs such as photoluminescent and tritium self-luminous exit signs for these conditions. Photoluminescent and tritium self-luminous exit signs function independent of electricity and thus do not need to be hardwired. Photoluminescent signs are glow-in-the-dark exit signs that use ambient light to charge while self-luminous signs are powered internally by the half-life decay of Tritium gas.

Electrical exit signs are not a good choice for temporary situations as they require an electrician to hardwire the sign. Photoluminescent and self-luminous exit signs require only a screwdriver for installation and can also be hung from temporary ceilings and above tall doors. We also offer pendant kits to hang signs from high ceilings typical in event locations.
