Small Exit Signs

Small exit signs are popular for applications with constricted dimensions. Greentorch manufactures a number of exit sign models that can fit into tight spaces. We offer both electrical and non-electrical small exit signs. Our electrical models use efficient LED (light emitting diode) technology to provide even, bright, and reliable illumination. Greentorch LEDs last between 8 and 10 years while only using five watts of electricity. Greentorch non-electrical exit signs use two types of non-electrical technology to provide compliant and ultra efficient exit sign illumination. Our electrical and non-electrical UL Listed exit signs are code compliant for high and low level applications in the United States, Canada, and abroad.

The LPX is the smallest LED exit sign Greentorch manufactures. The LPX is constructed from durable and flame-resistant thermoplastic that can withstand temperatures up to 176º Fahrenheit. The internally located LED light strip is available in colors of red or green. A small nickel-cadmium battery provides emergency power to the unit when AC power to the facility is lost. This battery backup will provide a minimum 90 minutes emergency operation in accordance with state and federal building codes.

The most compact and universally applicable exit signs are non-electrical exit signs. Non-electrical exit signs are thin and compact because the internal components, if any, are non-electrical and do not require battery backup systems. Photoluminescent exit signs use the latest glow-in-the-dark technology for illumination while self-luminous exit signs use a type of hydrogen gas that glows on its own.

Photoluminescent are the smallest code compliant exit sign available. When purchased without a frame the Blade series photoluminescent exit sign is only 1/16th thick. With the optional flush-mount low profile frame option, the aesthetic is approved and the exit sign is still only 3/16th of an inch thick. The Blade series, without chevron arrows, measures 8.625” x 12.125” and last for 25 years.

The SLX series self-luminous exit sign measures 8.50” x 13.00” inches with a 1-inch thick frame. The SLX can even be recessed into the wall if purchased with optional aluminum recessed pan housing. The SLX last for 10, 15, or 20 years depending on the service model ordered.
