No Smoking Signs
No smoking signs are signs that indicate to patrons that smoking is not allowed on the premises. Restaurants, retail stores, and other commercial buildings use no smoking signs. Some local, state, and federal laws require no smoking signs while other times the owners of such properties choose to install the signs on their own.
Smoking is not allowed in federal and state public buildings throughout the United States. In states such as California and New York smoking is not allowed in any restaurant or other property that the public is allowed in or on. Smoking is not allowed in these areas because of the dangers of second hand smoke. Studies have shown that second hand smoke can cause health problems for those in the immediate vicinity.
Greentorch manufactures many types of no smoking signs. Our standard no smoking signs are placards manufactured from high-grade thermoplastic. These signs can be outfitted with Grade 2 ADA Braille to comply with the American Disabilities Act. If you would like to have a custom made no smoking sign we can supply you with that as well.
Our custom no smoking signs use internal light sources to illuminate the words and/or pictogram stating “NO SMOKING.” Our electrical exit signs use energy efficient, long lasting (light emitting diodes) lamps. Greentorch LEDs use less than five watts of electricity and last for 8 to 10 years. Our cast aluminum custom exit signs are durable and stylish. Housing colors include white, black, and brushed aluminum.
Greentorch Edge-Lit signs use a high-grade acrylic panel to illuminate the “NO SMOKING” pictogram. The housing of our Edge-Lit signs can be surface or recessed mounted. Our recess mount can be configured for both ceiling and wall applications.

If electricity is not available, Greentorch offers a number of non-electrical no smoking signs. Our self-luminous signs use an internal chemical reaction to illuminate the façade of the sign. Face colors are available in red, green, black, and white. Frame colors include white or black. Greentorch self-luminous signs can be top, side, or back mounted. We can even recess the entire sign into the wall by including an aluminum pan housing.
