Glow Exit Signs

Glow exit signs are exit signs that glow when placed in conditions where light is minimal or absent. Glow-in-the-dark exit signs, also known as photoluminescent exit signs, are the most environmentally and cost-effective exit signs available. Their long lifespan and maintenance-free construction translate into the lowest operating cost of any type of exit sign.

Greentorch offers a wide variety of photoluminescent exit signs that are approved for use throughout the United States and Canada. Five foot candles of light must be present on the face of the exit sign at all times when occupants are in the building to maintain building and fire code compliance. All Greentorch photoluminescent exit signs will glow for a minimum 90 minutes when power is lost.

The Blade series photoluminescent exit sign is the most popular photoluminescent exit sign that Greentorch offers. Constructed from 99% recycled aluminum and featuring completely non-electrical technology, this sign can be fully recycled at the end of its 25-year lifespan and has no operating costs. The Blade series is offered in both 50-foot and 75-foot UL Listed viewing distances and is offered in face colors of red, green, or black. Framing options include standard black aluminum and optional low profile brushed aluminum frame.

The PLR series has the highest aesthetic appeal out of all of our photoluminescent exit signs. The face of the PLR is injection molded and reverse screen-printed for sleek and stylish look that blends well with all interiors. Framing options include matching the color of the face to the color of the frame in either red green or black. The PLR is available in a double-faced model that can be mounted to the wall or ceiling. Similar to the Blade, the PLR features a 50-foot UL Listed viewing distance.

The PCX series of photoluminescent exit signs is our commercial grade product line which features viewing distances of 50, 75, and 100 feet. Face colors are red, green, and black. All models of the PCX series are available double-sided with wall or ceiling mount bracket. The PCX is made from fire-resistant ABS thermoplastic. All photoluminescent exit signs from Greentorch feature a 10-year warranty from manufacturer defects.
