Energy Efficient Exit Signs

Almost every GreenTorch exit sign is energy efficient. Our LED exit signs use less than 5-watts of electricity, with a total annual cost of $3, and feature maintenance free operation for 8-10 years.

Our LEC exit signs are ultra energy efficient, using less than 1-watt of electricity to operate and costing just $0.25 a year in electricity. GreenTorch LEC exit signs are rated for a 25+ year life.

GreenTorch Photoluminescent and Tritium exit signs function independent of any electrical source making them our most energy efficient models. Photoluminescent exit signs are glow-in-the-dark signs that use ambient light to charge their pigment and illuminate when power is lost. Photoluminescent signs can be seen from 50-75 feet away. Self-luminous exit signs are powered internally by Tritium gas. Self-luminous exit signs require no external power source, but rather are powered by the nuclear reactions of the Tritium gas, which provides a steady, maintenance-free, electrically independent glow. Without the traditional maintenance required by electrical exit signs, Tritium and Photoluminescent technology allows you to mount a GreenTorch non-electrical exit sign and leave it for 10-25 years, depending on the model, without ever paying for electricity.
