If you have a large space, such as a warehouse, consider installing an industrial emergency light with remote capability and remote lamp heads. Installing a main emergency light and then connecting additional remote lamp heads is a popular alternative because it involves purchasing far less fixtures. The Greentorch EXT series is a NEMA 4x rated (moisture and corrosion-proof) emergency lighting unit that can be configured with a battery as large as 400 watts. With a 400-watt battery and 9-watt remote lamp heads you could run more than 30 additional units. So, instead of purchasing 30 units, purchase 1 unit with 30 remote heads, significantly reducing purchasing costs and creating a more efficient emergency lighting system.
