Emergency Lighting
Emergency lighting refers to lighting fixtures that illuminate during emergencies in which AC power is lost. Emergency lighting fixtures are required by federal, state, and local building codes. These fixtures illuminate the exit pathway and work in conjunction with exit signs to help patrons safely exit the building. Greentorch manufactures all types of emergency lighting fixtures to help increase the safety of your building and insure code compliance. All of the that we manufacture and sell are accepted for use throughout the United States and Canada.
The most popular model of emergency light that we offer is the EL-1 series. Constructed from flame-resistant thermoplastic, the EL-1 series is available in black or white. Illumination is provided by two 5.4-watt incandescent lamps that can easily be adjusted. A small nickel-cadmium battery provides the power necessary to operate the unit for a minimum of 90 minutes after AC power is lost.

Slightly more compact than the EL-1 series, the M60 series is shaped like a low profile trapezoid and is available in white or black. An optional self-diagnostic circuit is available. This decreases maintenance and insures proper functionality year round. A lead calcium battery provides reliable power during emergencies.

For high-end applications, the Greentorch recessed series creates a sleek, flush-mount aesthetic appeal that is unrivaled across the industry. The RMDEL recess mounted emergency light features two halogen MR16 light bulbs that are easy to adjust and compact enough to not draw much attention. The CRMEL features a single recessed MR16 bulb and fits into any standard 6” can housing. The MR series is a recessed emergency light with two, protruding PAR style lamp heads that provide the most powerful illumination out of all of our recessed emergency lighting fixtures.

If you are placing an emergency lighting fixture outdoors you will need to purchase a model that is weatherproof. Our most compact weatherproof model is the WVHEL. This model features two MR16 bulbs enclosed in waterproof polycarbonate housing that features fully gasketed construction. The GTHDT is a larger capacity outdoor unit that is NEMA rated and can be placed in hazardous environments.
