An emergency exit only sign is an exit sign that identifies where an emergency exit is. Today, exit signs simply read “EXIT” instead of “EMERGNCY EXIT”. This is true for all exit signs in the United States and Canada. Most exit signs outside of the United States use a running man design that convenes where the exit pathway is located. Suitable for indoor installations, the EXIT series is constructed of flame-resistant ABS thermoplastic with a color choice of white or black. Energy efficient LED lamps in colors of red or green provide illumination. Our LEDs last 8 to 10 years so maintenance costs are minimized. A compact nickel-cadmium battery backup system provides emergency operation when AC power to the facility is lost.

SLX Tritium Exit Sign Our most popular line of non-electrical exit signs are our self-luminous models. Self-luminous exit signs are ideal for installations in which electricity is not currently available. Hiring an electrician to run conduit to the installation site can be very costly. You can eliminate this cost by installing a self-luminous exit sign that uses an internal chemical reaction to produce emergency exit sign light for as long as 20 years. The SLX series features a 100-foot viewing distance and our SLE series features a 125-foot viewing distance. Both the SLX and SLE are UL listed. Face color choices include red, green, or black while frame color choices are white or black.
