Chicago Exit Signs
Chicago has specific rules regarding the construction and operation of its exit signs. Chicago Exit Sign rules pertain to the City of Chicago, not the surrounding suburbs. Chicago Exit signs have white colored steel housing with a glass panel and red letters in the word “EXIT.” The chevrons, or directional arrows, must be below the word “EXIT,” as opposed to the left and right of the word. Furthermore Chicago Exit Signs must be approved by the Chicago Department of Buildings.
GreenTorch Chicago Approved Exit Signs are unique in their energy efficient bulbs. Many exit signs use older incandescent bulbs which use more energy and burn out faster than bulbs. GreenTorch also offers the aesthetically pleasing Edge lit series exit signs for Chicago.
